Indulge in the comforting warmth and welcoming glow of a real fire, right inside your tent. The 4.5 kW Wide Boy Stove from Camping with Stoves combines impressive heating power with a sleek, panoramic viewing window, giving you the ambience of an open hearth no matter where your adventures lead. Portable yet robust, this stove is built to endure rugged conditions while letting you enjoy every cosy moment inside your shelter.
Among the most potent heaters in our collection, the Wide Boy offers a spacious design at 41.5cm wide, packing a powerful 4.5 kW output. Whether you’re warding off cold weather in a larger bell tent or savouring a late-season camping getaway, this stove ensures you have a reliable source of heat. For those extra-intensive burn sessions, consider placing a piece of slate or wood beneath your stove to safeguard your groundsheet.
Despite its substantial width, the Wide Boy remains surprisingly travel-friendly. Its foldable legs allow you to collapse it to a convenient size, while the flue sections stow neatly inside the firebox. This compact arrangement slips into your car without hassle, especially if you choose to contain residual ash and soot in a carry bag or similar protective covering.
Like all Camping with Stoves products, the Wide Boy features a heavy-duty, cold-pressed steel flue system engineered for even heat dispersion. By reducing the occurrence of dangerous hot spots, these robust flues protect your tent materials and ensure consistent warmth. The spacious stove top also affords ample room for cooking multiple dishes simultaneously, enhancing your culinary options under the stars.
Whenever you want extra precision in your cooking, simply remove the large hot plate cover for direct flame access. You’ll achieve faster boil times and excellent searing potential, but remember to keep the cover on (or use a pot to seal the opening) whenever you’re cooking inside the tent. This precaution helps contain fumes while preserving a safe, comfortable environment.
Perhaps the most striking feature of this stove is its expansive glass viewing panel. As the flames dance behind the door, you’ll enjoy the cosy ambience and the reassurance of being able to monitor the fire without letting precious heat escape. This thoughtful design element transforms each evening in your tent into a peaceful fireside experience.
Trade in chilly nights and dim surroundings for a toasty interior and the mesmerizing glow of a living flame. By pairing rugged construction with a sleek aesthetic, the 4.5 kW Wide Boy Stove elevates any campsite into a luxurious retreat. Experience practical warmth, increased cooking versatility, and the spellbinding sight of flickering embers—all without sacrificing portability or safety.
All our stoves are designed to be used outside or in a non-sealed structure like a tent.
They are not designed for sealed environments like buildings or vehicles.
Always use a CO2 alarm and have a means of putting a fire out ready to hand.
It's essential to operate this stove with a proper flashing kit where the flue exits the tent through the roof.
This “Flashing” needs to be correctly fitted within the structure and be not too close to the top of the stove to let some of the heat dissipate before it reaches it.
Do not leave your burning stove unattended and ensure it's fully extinguished before sleeping.
Moreover, position the stove on a surface that's fire-retardant to mitigate potential risks. Consider one of our heat mats or, better still, a mat on top of a piece of wood or slate to protect the groundsheet of your tent.
Attention: We are not liable for any damage stemming from improper use of the stove. Customers bear full responsibility for the stove's safe operation and correct installation.
